Oh why did I choose a print project?!

With only a 9 days to go, I am not one happy camper. Its been hard to work with image-making and composition. I tend to think roughly about the composition so I know what other visuals can be included in the spread.

I just want it to be simple, dynamic, bold so there is a nice flow throughout the book. Sometimes it is hard to know when combined with illustrative images just how much value is put into "type as images" and how to make it look together as a piece rather than a strong contrast between computer typography and the image. All these questions confuse me. I guess when there is rarely any time left and so much to do, multitasking dealing with paper, binders and printers whilst finishing the project, all the things I have learnt in uni about typography and layout design have somehow disappeared.

The thing is, I think the little thumbnail sketches we do before we make the images and do the layout tend to look better than the real thing!

Any inspirations. Anyone?
